Code Crosswalk

Terms of service

Last updated 12 September 2026.

By using codecrosswalk.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site. The site is operated by Code Crosswalk.

What this is, and what it is not

Code Crosswalk is a set of puzzle games for practising the vocabulary of medical coding, billing and revenue cycle work. It is a study aid and nothing more.

It is not a coding reference. Do not use it to assign a code, to bill a claim, or to answer a compliance question. Use the official code sets and your employer’s guidance for that.

It is not certification training and does not prepare you for, guarantee a result on, or substitute for any credentialing exam.

It is not medical advice and nothing on it should be treated as clinical guidance.

Independence

Code Crosswalk is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Medical Association, the AAPC, AHIMA, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, or any other standards body, certifying organisation or government agency. Any trademarks referred to belong to their owners and are used only to describe what a term relates to.

The site contains no CPT® code numbers, modifier numbers or descriptor text. Puzzle content is written from concepts rather than reproduced from any licensed code set.

Your account

You need an account to have your scores recorded and to use practice mode. Daily puzzles are playable without one. You are responsible for the email address you sign in with and for what happens under your account. One account per person.

Your display name is public. Choose one that is not obscene, not impersonating someone else, and not an advertisement. Names that break this may be reset without notice.

Fair play

Leaderboards only mean anything if the times on them are real. Do not automate play, script the API, share answers before the day is over, or use more than one account to get more attempts. Attempts that look manipulated may be flagged and excluded from rankings, and accounts that do it repeatedly may be closed.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to extract answer keys, probe the site for vulnerabilities, overwhelm it with traffic, scrape it in bulk, or use it to break any law. Puzzle content, the games and the site design are owned by Code Crosswalk and may not be republished without permission.

Paid subscriptions

Daily puzzles are free. Practice mode is free up to a daily limit. A paid tier lifting that limit is planned but not yet available; when it launches, pricing, billing period, renewal and refund terms will be stated at the point of purchase and these terms will be updated first.

Availability

This is a small independent site run on a single server. It may be unavailable, lose data, or change without notice, and features may be added or removed. No uptime is promised.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Code Crosswalk is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law allows.

Ending it

You can stop using the site and ask for your account to be deleted at any time. Accounts may be suspended or closed for breach of these terms.

Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be announced on the site before taking effect, and continuing to use it afterwards means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
